Danish Challenger Strengthens Victoria Soap with New Acquisitions And CEO
Victoria Soap’s Danish investors continue building for the future with new acquisitions and Swedish CEO to challenge the soap industry in Scandinavia, Europe and globally.
In a turbulent and cautious world, Victoria Soap’s Danish investors continue building for the future to challenge the soap industry in home market as well as internationally. First with a new acquisition in Respekt Danmark ApS last month and now with the newly appointed CEO Christian Bona, with a solid background from the industry.
Jesper Thorup, Chairman of Victoria Soap says: "We find ourselves in an increasingly changing and competitive environment and have ambitious goals both in terms of our national and Scandinavian but also international growth. Our owners have a buy and build strategy as we have seen a clear gap in the market. With our latest acquisition Respekt Danmark ApS we will help customers to switch to new strategies in their product assortment and price range”.
Jesper Thorup continues: “It is therefore also with great pleasure that I welcome Christian Bona to Victoria Soap. With a solid FMCG background and more than 25 years of experience from leading positions in sales and marketing, we are sure he and his team will take Victoria Soap to new heights both in home market as well as internationally”.
Christian Bona most recently comes from Skånemejerier/Groupe Lactalis, as business manager for the company's private label division and has worked as Sales Director with brands such as Allerum, Skånemejerier, Bravo and Lindahls. Prior to that, he has taken on roles as CEO of European House Beds Sweden, Marketing Director at SCA Hygiene Products with global responsibility for, among other brands, the Libero Brand and Sales Director within Orkla at Abba Seafood.
Christian Bona comments on his new role: "I have a passion for our industry, not least the cosmetic and chemical technical segment of the market where I once actually started my career at Mölnlycke Toiletries. I believe in leadership with a focus on the success and pride of the team and building strong individuals who reap success. Together we will take on the sustainability challenges our industry faces and I'm looking forward of being a part of that”, says Christian Bona
Christian Bona will lead the company in the capacity of CEO with a strong focus on sales organization and customer relations and work closely with Victoria Soaps’ owners. He will be part of the group's management team.
Christian Bona starts 5th January 2023.
